Who we are

Accountability and compassion must work together.

The Goode Method, LLC is a community-centered organization helping individuals and families create safer, healthier, and more stable lives.

We do not excuse harmful behavior, but lasting change requires more than punishment. It requires honest self-examination, practical skills, consistent support, and access to meaningful resources.

Through Trust the Process and The Balance Project, we address both personal behavior and the real-life barriers that can interfere with progress. We meet people where they are while holding them accountable for where they are going.

  • The Goode Method, LLC is a community-centered organization providing accountability-based intervention, education, advocacy, coaching, resource navigation, and program-development services. Our work is guided by Compliance with Compassion: holding people responsible for their choices while treating them with dignity and providing meaningful opportunities for change.

  • Trust the Process is our structured 30-week Batterer Intervention and Domestic Violence Intervention Program. It addresses abusive behavior, coercive control, power and control, unhealthy beliefs, emotional regulation, empathy, respectful communication, relationship patterns, and nonviolent decision-making.

  • No. Anger management focuses primarily on recognizing and managing anger. Batterer intervention addresses domestic abuse, coercive control, entitlement, accountability, relationship beliefs, and the impact of abusive choices. Anger may be discussed, but anger alone is not treated as the cause of domestic violence.

  • Yes. Trust the Process uses separate, gender-responsive programming for men and women. This allows the curriculum and facilitated discussions to address participants’ experiences, needs, patterns, and accountability without relying on stereotypes or compromising safety.

  • Trust the Process consists of 30 weekly sessions. Each session is approximately an hour and a half. Participants must also complete intake, orientation, program assignments, and all other applicable court, supervision, or program requirements.

  • BIP/DVIP sessions are $35 per week. Evaluations, anger-management programs, coaching, consultation, and educational materials have separate fees. All costs are explained before services begin.

  • Both in-person and virtual services may be available, depending on the program, referral source, and governing requirements. Missouri DOC-referred BIP participants are expected to attend in person unless another format is approved in writing by the appropriate authority.
